We’ve also added a special event for Biodiversity Week this year — have a look below.
All events are free and open to everyone.
There’s no need to book except for:

Saturday 9th May
Bike Doctor
Skibbereen Market 11-1pm
Visit us at the market with your bike.
We will be there to diagnose problems, do basic repairs. Come and learn to keep your bike well maintained for the future.
Sunday 10th May
Mystery Bicycle Buffet
Yummy fun on a bike!!!
An afternoon of mystery and discovery on a bike! Cycle with us to enjoy the delights of West Cork food at beautiful West Cork locations.
For all who can cycle approx 8km in one go. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Learn to Cycle for Children
Skibbereen Sports Centre 7-8pm
Supporting families to help children to learn to cycle using balance bikes.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Bikes and helmets provided or bring your own if you have them.
Tuesday 12th May
Trishaw Spins
Skibbereen Residential Care Centre & Retirement Village
Trishaw Spins for older or mobility-impaired people to feel the freedom and joy of being out on a bike. Residents from Skibbereen Residential Care Centre & Retirement Village will get
the opportunity to take a bicycle ride around Skibbereen.

Try a Bike
Levies Quay 6-8.30pm
Cycling fun in the centre of Skibbereen town
Try out an electric bike, a cargo bike, a tandem, a recumbent, tricycles and other bikes. Have a ride in a Trishaw! Different bikes can be tried out on an off road location plus a short route around the town.
Come and meet cycle trainers and mechanics with tips on cycling on the road and looking after your bike.
Wednesday 13th May
Tour de Skibb – 10km fun cycle
6.15pm Levis’s Quay by O’Sullivans toy shop P81 TD36
Explore by bicycle the byways around Skibbereen in a gentle paced fun way with the safety of being in a group.
Starting from the town centre we will weave our way through beautiful quiet country roads, chatting along the way, maybe pushing up some hills! Continuing the evening with a social drink.
Who – All that can cycle 10km at a gentle pace. Children must be accompanied by an adult

A cycle and a silent disco!
Come join us for a fun filled cycle as we circle Skibbereen town and arrive at a secret location for a popup silent disco. Bling your bike with its disco flair and get your groove on.
Open to all ages and children must be accompanied by an adult.

Adult Learn to Cycle
At the Cycle Sense Workshop P81 FY79 2-4pm
It’s never too late to have a go at cycling.
Join us at our workshop to build confidence by being guided through the different stages of cycling. Private location with no on-lookers.
Sunday 17th May
Cycle to Tragumna through beautiful Liss Ard estate
Meeting 12.45 – 1pm Abbeystrewry NS, Castletownshend Rd, Skibbereen. Return approx 4.30/5pm
Enjoy a gentle cycle with off road locations through beautiful Liss Ard Estate and stunning Tragumna beach with an optional swim for the braver souls . Enjoy delicious food at the Skibbreen Eagle before a cycle back to Skibbereen on a mostly flat route.
Open to all ages that can cycle the distance.
Children must be accompanied by an adult families welcome

Skibbereen Biodiversity Cycle Tour
Meeting point: Courthouse car park, Skibbereen at 2 – 4.30pm
Join a guided cycle visiting gardens and biodiverse spots around Skibbereen.
Led by Jacinta French, Environmental Scientist.
A gentle cycle (under 10km).
